Team for Kids is NYRR’s charity running team, made up of a committed group of adult runners from around the world who add meaning to their miles by raising funds for NYRR's Youth and Community Services programs while training for major endurance events. These funds go to free youth running and fitness programs for kids who would otherwise have little or no access to regular physical activity. Team for Kids Ambassadors are a group of notable and professional runners who embody NYRR's mission to help and inspire people through running. Through participation in NYRR youth and community events, including visits with Rising New York Road Runners programs—NYRR’s enhanced free youth fitness program—free shoe distribution/donation events with youth runners across New York City at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the NB Run Hub, participating in special events and initiatives, and running and training as a representative of Team for Kids. Team for Kids Ambassadors are making a positive impact on the next generation of runners.
Retired New York Giants Running Back and co-host of Tiki and Tierney on CBS Sports Radio, Tiki Barber was among the nearly 2,400 Team for Kids finishers at the 2017 Airbnb Brooklyn Half.

Elizabeth Falkner, Chef, TV Personality and author, completed her 1st marathon as a part of Team for Kids at the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon. Prior to the race Chef Falkner teamed up with fellow Ambassador George Mendes to prepare a special menu for the annual Night of Champions event at the TCS New York City Marathon Pavilion.
Shortly after announcing she'd be back to run the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon for the first time since her second-place finish in 2010, four-time Olympian Shalane Flanagan led the participants of NYRR Run for the Future to the finish line of their first-ever 5K, at the 2017 Percy Sutton Harlem 5K. The 2017 TCS New York City Marathon will be Shalane's first race competing as a Team for Kids Ambassador.
Certified Broadcast Meteorologist for WABC Channel 7 in New YorK City, Amy Freeze greeted at the finish line of the Media Mile at the 5th Avenue Mile by fellow Team for Kids Ambassador and professional runner Meb Keflezighi.
American long-distance runner and two-time Olympian, Molly Huddle paced the participants of the 2016 Girls' Run at the NYRR New York Mini 10K. Molly returned to New York in November to represent Team for Kids in her debut marathon at the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon where she finished as the top American and third overall.

International fashion model, designer and body activist, Candice Huffine shared her running story with participants and alumni of the NYRR Run for the Future program before joining the alumni in the 2017 NYRR R-U-N 5K.

Meb Keflezighi, a Team for Kids Ambassador since 2014, joins a group of Rising New York Road Runners at Yankee Stadium on a run from outfield to home plate before throwing out the first pitch at a Yankees-Red Sox game on Global Running Day, 2017. Meb will return to New York for the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon, his 26th and final professional marathon.

17-time Paralympic medalist and six-time New York City Marathon Champion, Tatyana McFadden teaches Rising New York Road Runners how to run in a racing chair during a school visit in New York City following her performance at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. Tatyana's win at the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon made her the first person to win the race as a Team for Kids Ambassador.

Through this program, I hope to demonstrate to children how they can learn life lessons through running including commitment, determination, perseverance, adversity, teamwork and humility. Running is much more than speed and crossing the finish line."

Professional Tennis Player Caroline Wozniacki, former world No. 1 receives her 2014 TCS New York City Marathon bib from a group of Rising New York Road Runners. Caroline raised over $80,000 for NYRR's youth and community services programs through her training with Team for Kids.
